Reminder: We Handle Exterior Storm Damage Repair in the Twin Cities Metro

Ah, summer in Minnesota – mosquitoes, thunderstorms, and hail.  Well, there’s a lot more to it than those negatives, and we sure enjoy getting outdoors and enjoying activities.  But one thing that can put a damper on our fun is the inevitable summer storm.  Consider this:

  • The Twin Cities area has an average of 40 thunderstorms per year, most of them in the summer, since it’s the warm and humid conditions that tend to trigger them
  • Dopplar radar has detected an average of 65 storms producing on-the-ground hail in the past year
  • Minnesota ranks 5th in the nation for number of tornadoes in June

In addition to these types of storms, we can expect heavy wind-driven rains as well as extremely high straight line winds that at times can exceed tornado velocity.  Thunderstorms can produce lightning strikes that can cause fire or other damage to homes, and even the smallest hail pebbles can damage roofing or siding.

So the question isn’t whether or home will suffer some storm damage this year – it’s more likely when.  So we just wanted to remind home and business owners that storm damage repair is one of our services.  We not only have the expertise and experience to get the job done right, we can also inspect your home to make sure all the problems are identified. Yes, your insurance adjuster is going to take a look, but it’s a good idea to have another estimate of the extent of the problems.  And we’re used to working with insurance companies to get things resolved, so we’re happy to go to bat for you if you find yourself recovering after a storm.

By the way, please check out our article on the initial steps you should take in the event your home suffers storm damage. It’s good to be prepared ahead of time so you know what to do in an emergency.

And if this isn’t the first time your home has been hit by a bad storm, perhaps it’s time to consider metal roofing and siding. No other materials stand up to the kinds of storms we get like metal.  So keep this number handy when the weather turns nasty.  We’ll be there for you, day or night.  We are a licensed Minnesota home remodeling company serving the greater Twin Cities metro area.
